The National Labor Relations Board has announced that it plans to implement a new rule on November 14, 2011 that will require nearly all private employers to notify employees of certain rights. The rule is currently in a comment period, but is expected to become effective on November 14 as scheduled. Assuming the rule becomes effective, it will require nearly every private employer – including non-union employers – to post a 1-page notice summarizing certain employee rights. The notice itself will be provided by the NLRB beginning in early November. Stay tuned for more information.
